Peer Review Process

The peer review process for the Journal of Lifestyle Communication ensures that every manuscript meets high academic standards before being published. The process is transparent and designed to provide constructive feedback to authors while maintaining the quality of the journal. The review process begins when an author submits their manuscript, and it goes through several stages of evaluation to assess the manuscript's quality and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Process Overview:

  1. Initial Review
The Editor-in-Chief conducts an initial review to ensure that the manuscript adheres to the journal’s focus and scope, is unique and significant, follows submission guidelines, and meets ethical standards (including copyright transfer).

  2. Decision Types
After the initial review, the Editor-in-Chief decides whether to reject the manuscript, request revisions, or accept it for peer review.

  3. Reviewer Selection
If the manuscript is accepted for peer review, the Section Editor selects suitable external reviewers who are experts in the topic.

  4. Peer Review
The manuscript undergoes a single-blind review process where external reviewers assess the manuscript’s quality and provide feedback.

  5. Reviewer Recommendations
Reviewers recommend one of the following: acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection.

  6. Final Decision
The Section Editor evaluates the reviewers' comments and makes a final decision: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

  7. Revisions and Resubmission
If revisions are required, authors must revise the manuscript and resubmit it. The Section Editor will review the revised version to decide if it is ready for publication.

  8. Final Editing and Layout
If accepted, the manuscript is sent for copyediting and typesetting, then reviewed by the author for final approval.

  9. Publication
Once finalized, the manuscript is published, and the author receives an acceptance letter with the final version of the manuscript.

This process ensures that the published research is of the highest academic quality, transparent, and in line with the journal’s goals.
